Welcome to the Chinese Program

The San Francisco State University Chinese Program, established in 1959 in the Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures, offers a comprehensive cycle of language, culture and practical courses in Mandarin Chinese. We offer an undergraduate major and minor through our B.A. program, as well as the only Chinese M.A. program in the CSU system.
